Board Games 2-5 Winter 2020
Board Game Club
Grades 2-5 Thursdays 2:25-3:55 Library
Explore logic, problem solving, and critical thinking while having fun playing board games! Each week, new board games will introduce new mechanics (pattern matching, networking, area of control, bluffing, etc...) and vocabulary (strategy, tactics, etc...). By the end of the class, players should feel comfortable:
Players are welcome to bring their own games from home and parents are welcome to come and play as well.
- - describing what they like and don't like about a game
- - teaching the rules of a board game to another player
- - discussing what the winner did to win
- - losing and have fun learning from the experience
Cost: The class is free, but an optional donation of $40 to the PTSA is encouraged to help the class build and maintain a board game library.
Dates: 1/16 - 4/9, no class 2/20
